L’anònima. Market to revitalize the Old Quarter of Manresa

L’Anònima aims to be a hybrid market space, where there will be an exchange of local products from Bages, and also a meeting place will be developed for the neighbors of Manresa.
The idea is born from the concern for the little economic and social activity that exists in Barri Antic. These events generate an aging of the streets and buildings, and do not promote an emotional link between the historic center and the inhabi- tants of the city.
The building of l’Anònima is a manufacturing complex of the late nineteenth century. Originally, it provided electricity for Manresa street lighting, but current- ly the building has no specific use. That is why it is believed necessary to interve- ne in this space, giving life and opportunities to neighbors to revive the neighbor- hood.
