This project was made within the course Temporary Exhibition Design in Politecnico di Milano. The aim was to take as an example an existing exhibition and move it to an Italian museum, in this case the Triennale di Milano. The original exhibition is in the Barcelona Design Museum and is called Objectes Comuns, by the curator Oriol Pibernat. It shows the evolution of Catalan design throughout the 20th century. We moved this concept to Italy, adapting the name and creating an immersive exhibition system so that museum visitors can understand more clearly the importance of Catalan design.
The exhibition is organized chronologically in 5 stages. The last part focuses on the catalan present design.
We also created a custom system for displaying the design pieces. We call them boxes, and they follow a modular system to be able to construct in different sizes.
